CONISTON CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

began in January 1986 and by Easter of that year we had moved to Coniston Library in the middle of the village. A few years later we made a decision to change our style of worship to "All Age". We believe this was God's plan for us and it seemed to be confirmed when on the first Sunday some young people came in off the street and joined us regularly.

In March 2002 we moved to the local Primary School. In recent years we have seen young people joining us after belonging to the youth work of Crusaders which is run by a number of our adults. It is fair to say that as a Church we offer somthing different and our prime concern is to reach non-churchgoers in a relevant way.

MISSION AND MATURITY

We are currently a small but vibrant fellowship seeking to serve Jesus in our community. Our two central aims are Mission and Maturity. In fulfilling this we aim to use the gifts of those within CCF and to develop the ministry of CCF in a sustainable manner.

MISSION

To share the Good News in a relevant and personal way with our community, neighbours, family, friends and the wider world.

We aim to do this by . . .

Providing the opportunity for people to attend the "All Age Worship"

Meeting as prayer triplets to pray for the ongoing ministry of CCF

Supporting the provision of Youth Work within Coniston

Supporting and taking an interest in the work of, WEC, TEAR FUND, SLAVIC GOSPEL, OPEN DOORS and other missionary organisations

Encouraging individuals within CCF to use their gifts to reach out to those in the community and to share their lives with them

MATURITY

To grow personally in our faith in Jesus and to encourage one another to persevere in following Jesus in our day to day lives. To build up the body of Christ.

We aim to do this by . . .

Seeking to meet together regularly on a Sunday to worship.

Operating a mid week Home Group to provide opportunities for Bible Study and Prayer which will encourage each person to apply their learning in their lives.

Enjoying each others company.
